The committee for this years Hiddenbrooke Charity Golf Tournament is making a considerable effort to organize a classy and fun tournament, but also raise a substantial amount of money for Alternative Family Services.
AFS is a noble, hard-working Vallejo organization that supports and trains young adults to live independently after ‘aging out’ of the foster care program. These teens have a HUGE responsibility dumped in their lap when they are only 16-21 years old. That’s where AFS steps in and tries to prepare them.
We cannot fulfill our mission without help from generous people like you.
The main event is a golf tournament but we would really like to involve the whole community of Hiddenbrooke not just the golfers. Most of us that live in this beautiful valley have been very fortunate
and I think it would be a wonderful thing to extend a helping hand to Vallejo’s struggling youth. They’ve had a rough start in life just by being a foster child and it would be great for them to know that someone cares and wants them to succeed.
If you have not signed-up to play please do it as soon as possible to get the reduced price of $100. After August 15th the price goes up to $125….save that $25 for raffle tickets or the silent auction!! More information about Alternative Family Services and also a sponsorship form are available in the Pro Shop at the club, in the Grill, at J&O’s and at the Welcome Center. ANY level of sponsorship would be greatly appreciated!
