What is the Hiddenbrooke Community Association?
Why should you to join it? What’s in it for you?

When Hiddenbrooke residents first moved into their new homes in 2000 they enjoyed the open space, herds of deer, flocks of Quail, and Red Tail hawks. People moved here for peace and quiet, beautiful homes and a comfortable way of life. They enjoyed living near a golf course and waking up to green hills and mooing cows! But they wanted more...a chance to make this community a better place to live and raise their families, so they formed the voluntary Hiddenbrooke Community Association (HCA) in 2002. They had grand dreams of things they could do as a group: improve the community, get to know their neighbors, make new friendships, and create memories that would last a life time. So, what does HCA do for the Hiddenbrooke Community?

  • Manages the community e-mail system (Hiddenbrooke News) that provides communication about upcoming events/activities, vendor recommendations, security concerns, speeding drivers and other information
  • Maintains the Hiddenbrooke Community website
  • Organizes golf tournaments, pool parties, Holiday lighting contests and other social activities
  • Cleans trash along Highway 80
  • Maintains twelve pet “poop bag” stations, using over 10,000 “bags” per year
  • Got a U.S. Mail “blue box” installed near the Welcome Center
  • Works with the community to sponsor the “National Night Out” for community awareness and security improvements
  • Provides opportunities for residents to meet for social activities, sports events and work on community improvements
  • Aggressively works with the City of Vallejo and other government agencies on issues that affect our quality of life, including improving emergency medical response, and getting a park built
  • Manages the Welcome Center/security company to improve our neighborhood security, including the recent installation of high-resolution video cameras
  • Assists in setting up "Block Watch" for the various neighborhoods in Hiddenbrooke in order to further improve security as well as emergency preparedness
  • Works with the City of Vallejo to effectively manage the taxes we each pay for the Hiddenbrooke Maintenance District that maintains the common landscape areas
  • Provides “meet the candidate” forums for City Council candidates
  • Established the Hiddenbrooke Property Owners Association (HPOA) that manages the mandatory Community Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CCRs) and the Community Architectural Review Committee.

So, now that you know what the Hiddenbrooke Community Association is doing, please join us to continue this work for you and the rest of the community. Your membership will help us to build our own community park, continue to improve the medical and fire department response to Hiddenbrooke, improve community security, insist that the City of Vallejo effectively uses the taxes we pay for the Hiddenbrooke Maintenance District, and have fun at our social events!

How can you help? Making these many activities occur does take some money. Please join the HCA for $40 a year by completing the Membership form, enclose $40 and drop it by the Welcome Center, addressed to Hiddenbrooke Community Association.

Thanks!
